Lofotdykk
– The base for the real maritime northern highlights…

In 1990, we nurtured the idea of Lofotdykk in Kabelvaag, Lofoten.

The location was perfect: In the middle of the numerous islands of Lofoten, with Crazy mountain peaks, old fisherman villages, hunting Killer Whales, bold sea eagles and only meters away from the crystal clear water.

That’s why we restored and “special designed” an old fisherman’s house from 1890, grounded on poles planted in the sea. Here, in the saltiest atmosphere, you will also find historical treasures from the deep. A rough northern style!
We have developed a base for some of the best Arctic experiences within: Diving, skin diving, Orca safari, Liveaboard Diving safari and Corporate Adventures.

A nice place for families and active people
Lofotdykk offers accommodation for families and active people, who seek the uniqueness of the Lofoten nature and spirit.
In our fisherman’s house there are four bedrooms with four beds and one bedroom with six beds. Living rooms, showers and toilets for common use. Fully equipped kitchen intended for self cooking.
Nice view to the ocean and wild mountains. Always clean and a nice northern Norwegian atmosphere.

From the seahouse, which is centrally located in Kabelvaag, you have the best starting point for all kinds of activities in Lofoten: The Lofoten Aquarium, Lofoten Museum and various galleries are within walking distance.
And only 100 meters away you will find a restaurant, the local pub, bank and various shops.
See the page “Arctic Diving” for prices Accommodation.

M/S Anne Bro – The perfect vessel for Orca Safari, Liveaboard Diving and Corporate Adventures
Built as a sailing wooden galas ship in 1910. The first machinery was installed in 1944. In 1954 a two floor high steering house was built. The boat was totally renovated between 1999 and 2004 for approx 4 millions NOK (including support from ”Den Norske Riksantikvaren”) and a lot of free working hours.

This old lady fulfils the Lofotdykk-philosophy with her qualities, style and atmosphere! You will among other things find a large saloon in bright colours, high and large steering house for best and “warm” view after the whales and build in heat system in the floors for your well being. A well-shaped hull makes nice movements, which prevent the risk of getting seasick.
All necessary certificates and safety equipment.

Ocean RIB – For the Deep Sea Rafting and fast transport
Our diesel powered RIB was in 1999, one of very few along the coastline with an inboard engine for professional Safari and Diving. With the speed and extreme seaworthy capabilities, it suits our activities very well. The RIB together with Anne Bro makes the experiences complete. Warm life/ floating dresses, sea gloves, all necessary safety equipment and a well-qualified captain, ensure you a safe journey.
